Richard
has significant experience with family law and divorce cases, including
child custody, parenting plans, spousal and child support, prenuptial
agreements and property division.
Mediated Divorce Settlements
Because
the dynamics surrounding family law cases are frequently stressful,
Richard believes that mediation and negotiation are the most effective
methods for serving his clients’ interests. Mediation has the
potential to save clients thousands of dollars which would otherwise be
spent in an adversarial litigation process.
Employment Law
Richard will work with the client facing significant legal issues caused by a current or former employer.
Immigration law
At
all immigration proceedings you may be represented by an attorney of
your choosing; however, the government is not obligated to provide you
with legal counsel. Richard will be your advocate at your master or
individual calendar proceedings, removal, deportation, rescission,
exclusion, detention and bond hearings or any other proceeding you may
have before an immigration judge.
Military & Veteran’s issues
Richard
enlisted in the Navy at the age of seventeen and worked his way up the
ranks to receive a commission. After more than twenty years’ service,
including service during Operations IRAQI FREEDOM and ENDURING FREEDOM,
Richard retired from the navy and returned to Oregon to practice law.
